It was a Great Day for a Spring Clean🌸🌼

Thank you to our cleanup heroes who participated in our Spring Clean on September 29th!

Together, we removed over 8 bags of rubbish, totaling 34.4 kg. Your efforts not only beautify our community but also support our native flora and fauna. It was wonderful to connect with some of our newer residents during this event.

Neighbour Day🤗

This year, we celebrated our first Neighbour Day with the Activate Apsley Team, who distributed hot beverage vouchers from the local café.

We were thrilled to have Amy Wild and her reptiles join us, sharing her passion and knowledge about Australian reptiles and what to do if you encounter one!

Dinosaur Playtime at Mokare Reserve 🦖

During the July School Holidays, Apsley, in collaboration with the City of Kwinana Library Team and other City of Kwinana services, introduced a special toy library at the centre.

We also hosted a morning of dinosaur themed fun at Mokare Adventure Park, featuring stories, songs, scavenger hunts, active play, and even a REAL-LIFE dinosaur visit! 🦕

The park was brimming with little dinosaurs that day. Stay tuned for our Jungle Safari theme coming next school holidays!

With spring on the horizon, we have decided to hold an Apsley ‘Best Kept Garden’ competition to reward our wonderful community for maintaining their front gardens and making the estate look beautiful.

1st Prize: $500 Bunnings Voucher
2nd Prize: $250 Bunnings Voucher

Volunteer Week🌿😇

To express our gratitude to the Activate Apsley town team, we organised a special volunteer week event centred around creating Kokedama plants - a traditional Japanese art form.

Each team member was invited to create their own Kokedama, which involves forming a ball of soil, enveloped in moss, with an ornamental plant growing from it.

It was an exciting night celebrating their dedication and hard work in a unique and meaningful way💚
